AirPods Pro: one thing I use every day and would hate to be without.
By Ryan Robert Rice · There is plenty of camera gear I enjoy talking about, but one of the things I use every day is much smaller: my AirPods Pro. They have become one of those everyday essentials I would hate to be without.
I buy the new Pros whenever they come out—or when they go on sale. At this point, I wish Apple had an AirPods upgrade program like the iPhone program. I would be exactly the kind of person interested in that.

Why everyday use matters more to me than a spec sheet
A camera or lens might be perfect for a particular project. AirPods are different for me because they are something I use daily. That frequency changes how I think about their value: I am buying something that becomes part of my routine, not something that waits for the right assignment.
That is the personal recommendation here. I am not claiming they are the perfect earbuds for every person. I am saying they have earned a place in my everyday life, and I keep choosing the Pro line when it is time to buy again.

I would not choose earbuds on a headline feature alone. Fit, comfort and how they work with the devices you already use are worth more than a long list of capabilities you never touch. My enthusiasm for them does not mean you need to replace a pair you already enjoy.
Apple, I would love an AirPods upgrade program
Because I keep buying new Pros, an iPhone-style upgrade option would appeal to me. I would want straightforward terms, a clear cost and an easy way to move to the next generation when it makes sense. That is my wish for the product, not an offer attached to the Amazon link.
I also like a good sale. There is nothing wrong with waiting for a price you are comfortable with, especially if your current pair still works well. I would compare the exact model, condition and seller instead of assuming every listing with a lower price is the same deal.
Would I buy them again?
Yes. I use AirPods Pro every day, and that is the strongest reason I can give. Sometimes the gear that matters most is simply the thing you keep reaching for. For me, these belong in that category.
